Full-time undergraduate and postgraduate international students can work anywhere on and off campus for up to 20 hours per week without a work permit.
The Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWPP) allows students who have graduated from a participating Canadian post-secondary institution to gain valuable Canadian work experience.
Even if you do NOT meet our minimum English requirement (IELTS or TOEFL), you still can get conditionally accepted in the program of your choice with the condition of completing our English program prior to starting your chosen program.
Cooperative education (or co-operative education) is a method of combining classroom-based education with practical work experience. A cooperative education experience (“co-op”), provides academic credit for structured job experience. Co-ops are full-time, paid or unpaid positions.
Students need to plan their accommodations well in advance of their arrival in Canada & the USA as all accommodation options fill up quickly, well before the start of the semester.
On-Campus Residence Accommodations: On-Campus residence accommodations are provided per discretion by the school.
Off-Campus Accommodations: The local area has a variety of off-campus rental housing options including single homes, duplexes, apartments and rooms for rent. Students wishing to live off-campus need to research availability on their own and should arrive well before the start of term to do so.

The University is accredited by the British Columbia Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills & Training, and carries the Education Quality Assurance (EQA) accreditation under the 2003 Degree Authorization Act.The University is also a member of the British Columbia Council on Admission & Transfer. In 2017 the university’s bachelors and post-graduate business degrees received accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
As of 2019 UCW offers a Bachelor of Commerce, a Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication, and an MBA. The mode of study for these degrees is either full-time on campus or part-time online. It also offers an Associate of Arts degree
This ACBSP-accredited program combines theoretical and practical learning to give you a true understanding of modern business. It will prepare you for a successful career in business or management. Students can study on-campus or online.
Available as an on-campus or online program, this degree will develop your core skills in writing and research and equip you with a comprehensive understanding of all types of business communication.
The Associate of Arts Degree is an interdisciplinary set of courses that cultivate core skills in writing, communication, research and team performance. It will prepare students for additional post-secondary education or to enter the workforce. Students can study on-campus or online.
The ACBSP-accredited UCW MBA degree challenges students in areas vital to business operation and administration. It develops core competencies in critical thinking, persuasive communication, system analysis, leadership, and business ethics. Emphasis is placed on the application of theories, teaching students case studies relating to a large variety of industries in Canada and around the world.
